WHY DOES A SET OF TOILETS IN CURITIBA COST U$ 57,000.00?

The population always expect that a public official takes care of public  money, after all, it belongs to the population.

Nowadays, there is a Brazilian justice system operation that is called  car wash ( lava jato, in Portuguese), its name is referred to the beginning of the operation with a gasoline station owner involved in corruption with public officials and politicians, its objective is to decrease the corruption in the public administration.

Nowadays, there is a Brazilian justice system operation that is called  car wash ( Lava jato, in Portugueses), its name is reffered to beginning of the operation that ocurred with a gasoline station owner envolved in corruption with public officials and politicians, its objective is to decrease the corruption in the public administration.

About twenty years ago, a worker from a public institution said he saw an Epson matrix printer receipt of U$ 500.00, and its normal price at the local market was U$ 260.00. It was almost double price, which we can call a little  car wash by rainwater, and without using a piece of cloth for drying it.

Some time after, a man said that a public server had spent U$ 17,000.00 to renovate two toilets, a masculine, and a feminine one. And he added: “ I have built my own house, a comfortable one, with three bedrooms, and I spent less than U$ 12,000.00, and here and the public server has spent the value and half of my house to renovate two toilets". I do not understand why some of our authorities misuse the public money. It was a complete car wash, without drying and polishing.

In 2016, Curitiba City Hall is spending U$ 57,000.00 to renovate two sets of public toilets in the Bacacheri Park. It is possible to buy a popular house or an apartment with that money, and maybe for less than that. I can not say that the public money is being badly invested in those installations, however, two sets of toilets can not cost as the same as a house. It is known they are necessary because our population deserves good and functional water closets in our parks.

All of us know that Brazilian people are fascinated for cars, some use their first salary to pay the first  of 60 car installments. They do not care how much interest they will pay, sometimes they pay two cars and take only one. Now, imagine if someone that likes cars so much would leave it dirty, mainly on the weekends when he can go out with his girlfriend – women love a man as much as his car costs.

For those reasons, men really like to clean their car, they are always eager  to wash their cars or have them washed, they prefer to have them cleaned/washed inside/outside, dried with a special tissue to not risk car painting, and finally to have it very polished with a special car wax, which make the car wash very expensive.

How much does a man spend to wash his car per month?  I have no idea, but it should be a reasonable amount of money, and cars have too many other expenses.

It is not worthwhile having a car, if some someone does not have a good salary or he is not a rich person. I do not know, but the car wash shops make good money, mainly on Saturdays.

Everyone must be responsible for what is under his power, either be a private stuff or a public one.                        May 16th, 2016.
